After School Programs

The St. Martin Schools Magnet Program offers both after care and after school club options at each of the Magnet Academies. Both are free, include a snack, and offer free door-to-door transportation each day the program is offered. 

After Care: This program offers structured homework help and academic tutoring in a supervised environment. It's designed to support students in completing assignments and strengthening core subjects. Available daily after school from August 18, 2025 - May 21, 2026 from 3:15pm-5:30pm.

Clubs: These are enrichment programs focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Clubs include a variety of hands-on, interest-based activities that foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Available after school on Mondays & Tuesdays, (and Wednesdays & Thursdays at Saint Martin STEAM Academy) from Sept. 2, 2025 - March 31, 2026 from 3:15pm-5:30pm.

PRE-K-1st:

  • Ceramics/Art: Discover the creative world of art and engineering while mastering skills in ceramics.

K-5th:

  • Tynker: An inclusive coding program where students learn to code using icons, blocks, and text in multiple languages like Python and JavaScript, while developing real-world tech skills.
  • DREAM: Dance/Drama infused through Relevant and authentic Experiences in Art & Music.

K-1st:

  • C-STEAM: An international program where students bring ideas to life through robotics, art, and more, fostering innovation and cultural understanding.
  • First LEGO League: A global robotics program that develops problem-solving, critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on challenges.
  • Cajun Zydeco: A cultural club celebrating South Louisiana's Cajun and Creole heritage through hands-on learning of Zydeco music, including accordions, guitars, and traditional rhythms.

2nd-5th:

  • Culinary: Where food, fun and flavor come together as students learn to cook and create in the kitchen!
  • e-Sports: A competitive and collaborative club where students develop teamwork, strategy, and communication skills through organized video gaming and tournaments.
  • Pep Squad: An energetic club that promotes school spirit through cheers, chants, and teamwork at school events and activities.
  • Podcast: A creative space where students learn to plan, record, and produce podcasts while building skills in storytelling, interviewing and audio editing.
  • Odyssey of the Mind: An international creative program that allows students' ideas to come to life.
  • Environmental: A leadership club where students learn about environmental issues and take action to raise awareness and create positive change in their community.
